Lace Cable Bookmark is a pretty lace design to introduce knitting lace from charted instructions. Don't be scared, though. Even if you have not used charts in the past, there are written instructions to help ease your way into feeling comfortable using charts (if you want to).

Knit a miniature version of the red, white and blue U.S. flag. The lacy stripes and beaded stars symbolize the flag proudly waving in the breeze. Finished size approximately 3" by 5". Complete kit includes A91 Mini Lace and Beaded Flag pattern, 3 balls of size 8 DMC pearl cotton, size 11/0 Miyuki Japanese glass seed beads, and collapsing eye twisted wire needle for easy stringing of the beads. Enough to make several mini flags.

NEEDLES OPTION: You also have the option to purchase coordinating knitting needles size US 4/0 (1.25 mm) with lapis gemstone heart finials.

Note: I have run out of colors as made for the original sample. Your kit will include threads in ecru, imperceptibly different shade of red, and your choice of wedgewood #311 or navy blue #823 (wedgewood is slightly lighter). Beads are pearl ceylon to coordinate with the ecru thread. You can't go wrong with either choice depending on whether you prefer an Early Americana or Country Americana look.

These delightful fingerless gloves keep wrists and hands warm. The tapered fit, DK weight yarn and an easy-to-read lace stitch pattern make these simple and quick to knit. For symmetry, instructions are provided for making the left and right a mirror of each other.

Narrow panels of lace play counterpoint against the zig-zagging path of variegated color along this scarf. Easy to knit on just a few stitches, and enjoyable to wear in a variety of ways.

Silk Smoke is a versatile accessory you can wear laid on your shoulders as a dressy cowl neckline, or pulled over your head as a wimple.

This smoke ring is knitted circularly to make a seamless tube. Although the lace pattern looks complicated, the spectacular results are accomplished with a stitch sequence that is repetitive and relatively easy.

Do you love beads and glitz? Then this one is for you. Although the colorwork might appear involved, the slip-stitch color knitting is simple because you only need to handle one yarn color at a time.

The beads give an added depth of color and look of complexity to an otherwise simple beaded knitting technique.
