Here is a beautiful small lace piece in the shape of a leaf of the majestic Oak tree. This project is rated as "mindful knitting", i.e. it will take careful attention as there is little repetitiveness to the rows. But otherwise the knitter familiar with basic lace knitting can expect to have a fun knit with this pattern (and probably will not want to stop at making just one). We've seen these oak leaf medallions used in a variety of ways: small doilies, coasters, tasseled bookmarks, fall holiday decorations and appliqué embellishments. For what will you use yours?

You'll get the pattern and all the materials you need to make one "Antique" Satin and Lace Ornament.

Kit contains printed pattern, your choice of color for the satin ornament ball, choice of thread, pearl seed beads, and fine gauge pins for attaching your completed lace edging to the ball. I even save you the work of stringing the beads onto the thread. Your pre-strung beads are ready for you to start knitting right away! Sample model pictured is white satin ball with unbleached linen thread.

High quality Japanese glass drop beads by Miyuki, approximately 300 per 15g. These beads are rounded at one end, and tapered at the other end where the hole is, i.e. they look like a teardrop! and are sometimes referred to as fringe beads. Great for beads around the edge of a shawl or scarf, or dangling within a yarn over of knitted lace, etc.

Beads are packaged in clear zip-top bags for easy handling; no tubes to roll around or tops popping off and spilling beads. Approximately 300 per 15g bag.

See sample card to get approximation of color. The two transparent crystal colors are similar. Choose the cool-toned crystal (DP-250) if you want the bead to add a bit of its own bluish and pinkish tones from the Aurora Borealis (AB) finish. Choose the warm-toned crystal (DP-131) for a perfectly clear bead to add sparkle to your yarn.

This supplies pak includes 1 ball DMC Perle 8 cotton thread, 15g size 11/0 Miyuki seed beads and floss threader to string beads. Thread and beads is more than enough to make the Lorna's Light beaded amulet purse and a simple beaded cord to go around your neck.
