Who can resist a dolly or teddy bear, especially one dressed in a lace shawl you've knitted?

Reminiscent of Irish heritage and Black Watch plaid colors. This is the yarn and color pictured for March's Beyond BOBBOL 2014 KAL of Spring Lace Leaves Scarf. 1 skein is all you need if you want to make the scarf.

Yarn is Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock, a hand-dyed soft and durable fingering weight yarn in 80% superwash wool/20% nylon yarn. Comes in a 2 ounce skein of 215 yards.

Beads are not included in the scarf pattern, but if you want to add a bit of sparkle with Miyuki beads, possible suggestions are #277 Green-lined Crystal AB and #269 Ice Blue-lined Crystal AB

This supplies pak includes 5/2 Tencel thread and white pearl ceylon beads to make one Tea-time Serviette, the April KAL project. The stitch pattern is a simple, pleasingly reversible, lace to knit in the round. You can wear your creation as a single casually looped long scarf, or double-looped as a snugly cowl.

This shawl is knit in one of those lovely laces based on the Shetland feather and fan stitch. There is so much movement and interest in the pattern that it may look more difficult to do than it really is. Starting at the tip of the shawl and increasing to whatever width you want, it becomes a lovely fan-shaped neck scarf, shoulder wrap, or full-size shawl. The bound-off long edge can be finished in your choice of dramatic points or graceful scallops.

Size to desired length/width (length will be half of width). Guidelines for laceweight yarn – 200 yards for 32" wide, 600 yards for 54", 1000 yards for 72", 6 stitches/inch, size US 5 / 3.75 mm needles suggested. Easily adjusts to other weights of yarn with corresponding adjustment in needle size and yardage.

Slimming chevrons and stylized fleur-de-lis arranged symmetrically in narrow lace bands are knitted from end- to-end in one piece — no grafting or seams to sew!
