Here is a beautiful small lace piece in the shape of a leaf of the majestic Oak tree. This project is rated as "mindful knitting", i.e. it will take careful attention as there is little repetitiveness to the rows. But otherwise the knitter familiar with basic lace knitting can expect to have a fun knit with this pattern (and probably will not want to stop at making just one). We've seen these oak leaf medallions used in a variety of ways: small doilies, coasters, tasseled bookmarks, fall holiday decorations and appliqué embellishments. For what will you use yours?

You get a printed pattern for the No Two Alike Snowflakes Hat and Mittens set + yarn to make the hat or mittens or both. Child small thru Adult XL. Yarn choices have been coordinated to be similar to the original pair of child's mittens and hat set featured in 1998 in the Blue Room of the U.S. White House. White mohair/wool blend to look like the halo of snow (1 to 3 balls depending on kit selection). Machine-washable smooth wool in the 4 colors, 1 ball each color.

Turn a plain outfit into something special with this lovely lace collar. Shown here in Tilli Tomas Rock Star, a sumptuous silk yarn plied with beads. Or use your choice of DK / worsted weight yarn. This collar knits up quickly on size 7 US / 4.5 mm needles using only 60 yards of yarn.

Beaded shamrocks dance about your legs in these green-on-green socks to celebrate good luck and laughter in the Irish tradition.

The yarn is 4 oz (2 skeins) of Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in color Sage. The beads are the Miyuki brand, in color Emerald AB, manufactured in Japan with consistently high quality that will not abrade the thread and the finish will not rub off.

Sparkly beads glisten like raindrops, greeting the awakening of Spring's first leaves.

The interplay of the knit-purl basketweave texture and beaded knitting makes this a fun-knit project. The stitch pattern used for the center portion of the scarf is a slip-stitch pseudo ribbing that gives an extra-soft cushion of comfort around your neck. Split-cuff anklets can be worn with the split either to outer or inner sides of ankles.
