Bonus: an option to beading the Lace Leaf pattern stitch

For the wonderful, supportive members of KnitHeartStrings who are interested in a beaded option for this month’s KAL Spring Lace Leaves Scarf, I am pleased to share this version. Please enjoy it as such, or just use it as a jumping-off point for your own creative placement of beads. (Note: the in-progress picture shown below is using some of my handspun yarn and is unblocked.)

Please refer to your Lace Leaves Scarf pattern for other instructions and symbol key (either purchased or downloaded as part of your KnitHeartStrings paid membership during the KAL period ).

For this placement, you will need 25 beads size 6/0 beads (4 mm diameter) per 20-row repeat, placed with the crochet hook method. Additional symbols:
B = hook bead-k1
B\ – k2togtbl-hook bead
B/ = k2tog-hook bead

There could certainly be other configurations for embellishment. Please share what you come up with as you play with anything else!

    BTW, I love the “Print/PDF” function on the Bonus Pages — makes life a lot easier.

      Thanks Patty for letting me know the Print/PDF is making your life easier. That feature is one of the “discover a gem” items that I was planning to write again about soon. I think a lot of people do not realize it is available and might be missing out.

    I love the color way of your handspun yarn! It produces more of an ombre effect rather than a striping that I see with so many yarns. What does one look for when buying yarn for a project to get more of this ombre effect? I think it really shows off the beads more this way as well.
