Knit a miniature version of the red, white and blue U.S. flag. The lacy stripes and beaded stars symbolize the flag proudly waving in the breeze. Finished size approximately 3" by 5". Complete kit includes A91 Mini Lace and Beaded Flag pattern, 3 balls of size 8 DMC pearl cotton, size 11/0 Miyuki Japanese glass seed beads, and collapsing eye twisted wire needle for easy stringing of the beads. Enough to make several mini flags.

NEEDLES OPTION: You also have the option to purchase coordinating knitting needles size US 4/0 (1.25 mm) with lapis gemstone heart finials.

Note: I have run out of colors as made for the original sample. Your kit will include threads in ecru, imperceptibly different shade of red, and your choice of wedgewood #311 or navy blue #823 (wedgewood is slightly lighter). Beads are pearl ceylon to coordinate with the ecru thread. You can't go wrong with either choice depending on whether you prefer an Early Americana or Country Americana look.

Here's a trio of lace leaf designs to delight anyone and everyone. I chose autumn colors in remembrance of the piles of leaves I loved to jump into. Maybe you and I don't jump into piles of leaves now, but undoubtedly you'll enjoy making a whole pile of these knitted leaves to play in! Includes designs as shown for Aspen, Maple Leaf, and Oak Leaf. (Note: pattern for Oak Leaf also available separately as Bits of Lace Oak Leaf)

Beaded Winter Wonderland Socks are reminiscent of a winter scene. There are beaded stylized Norwegian snowflakes, snowdrifts, pine trees, and lightly fallen snow. The cuff is sideways knitted in garter stitch; the remainder of sock is knitted in the round.

  • top quality 80% superwash wool 20% nylon fingering weight sock yarn in color natural - enough to make up to the largest size (woman's shoe size US 12)

• silver-lined crystal seed beads for the stylized Norwegian snowflake and snow drifts
• beads in choice of 4 color schemes for the beaded trees:
• a nylon collapsing eye 'needle' to help you easily string the beads onto the yarn
• a clear drawstring bag to protect your luxury yarns and beads, and for carrying other small knitting projects later.

The beads are the Miyuki brand, manufactured in Japan, with consistently high quality that won't abrade the thread and the finish will not rub off.

Red Hots Anklets are named after the small nuggets of popular cinnamon-flavored candy. The pattern stitch incorporates wrapped stitches to simulate the candy nuggets.

Note the instep detail. The ribbing around leg and across instep provides a good fit.

Turning tradition upside down — This small, simple shawl is designed to learn and practice neck-down construction and basic techniques for making a Faroese shawl in the traditional style — except upside down!
